Ukrainians spend about $35 million abroad every day, according to the National Bank of Ukraine.
In 2023, Ukrainian citizens who traveled abroad withdrew $18 billion from the country using their bank cards and spent it abroad, according to Deputy Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine Serhiy Nikolaychuk.
"In 2022, this outflow was almost $20 billion. Last year, it decreased slightly to about $18 billion. This year, we expect these volumes to decrease significantly to about $13 billion," Nikolaychuk said.
Remittances from Ukrainians abroad to Ukraine amounted to $10.6 billion in the first 11 months of 2023.
