Bayraktar manufacturer tells Reuters it is building a plant near Kyiv
It is to be a large enterprise with at least 500 employees

The Turkish company Baykar, which became particularly famous for its Bayraktar combat drone, which proved itself during the Armenian-Azerbaijani war of 2020 and then in the first months of the Russian-Ukrainian war, has begun construction of a drone factory near Kyiv that will produce TB2 or TB3 drones.
Source. This was stated by the head of the company, Haluk Baykar, in an interview with Reuters during an arms exhibition in Saudi Arabia.
"Our plant is under construction. It will take us about 12 months to complete the construction, and then we will move on to the internal equipment, facilities and organisational structure," Baikar was quoted as saying. "The plant in Ukraine is large, we plan to hire about 500 people.
According to him, the plant will be able to produce about 120 TB2 or TB3 units per year, and these plans are in full swing and "nothing" can stop them.
The Bayraktar lost its importance as a weapon in the months that followed, although it continues to be used for other purposes.
In recent weeks, the Ukrainian leadership has stated that within a year it intends to master the production of smaller and cheaper drones that can be produced in thousands.
Background. In November, it was reported that Turkey had conducted a new successful test of the Bayraktar TB3 attack deck drone.
