Russian activists appeal to the IC because of Putin's words about Hitler and Poland
Russian dictator accused of rehabilitating Nazism

Politician, chairman of the "Committee-2024" association Sergei Antonov appealed to the Investigative Committee of Russia with a demand to prosecute Russian President Vladimir Putin under the article on "rehabilitation of Nazism" for his interview with Tucker Carlson.
This was reported on social media by the Committee-2024, cited by DW.
The reason for the appeal to the IC was Putin's words that Poland had forced Adolf Hitler to attack it first.
"Before the Second World War, when Poland cooperated with Germany, refused to comply with Hitler's demands, but took part with Hitler in the partition of Czechoslovakia, but since it did not give up the Danzig Corridor, the Poles forced it, they flirted and forced Hitler to start the world war with them," Putin said in an interview with Carlson.
"It (Poland – ed.) turned out to be intractable. Hitler had no choice but to start with Poland when implementing his plans," the Russian president said.
In its statement of claim, Committee 2024 cites an inaccurate quote from Putin, claiming that the president said the phrase "Hitler had no choice but to start a war with Poland" instead of "to start with Poland".
"I believe that the actions of citizen Putin contain signs of a crime under paragraphs a), c) of part 2 of Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code, namely the rehabilitation of Nazism committed by a person using his official position and the media," Antonov said in his appeal to the Investigative Committee.
The Investigative Committee has registered the politician's statement, according to the agency's response published by the activists.
