Baltic states are building a common defence line against a Russian attack - it will include a thousand concrete bunkers
The project is being implemented "with great speed" amid concerns that after Ukraine, Putin may attack the Baltic states

Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania are creating a "Baltic defence line" against a possible Russian invasion, The Times reports.
Its main element will be a thousand bunkers that will be created on the borders with Russia, Belarus and the Russian exclave of the Kaliningrad region.
Estonia plans to spend about €60 million to build about 600 bunkers. Each of them will have an area of 37 m² and will be able to accommodate up to ten soldiers. These defensive structures will be able to withstand an artillery shell hit.
Near the bunkers will be weapons depots and enemy deterrents, such as anti-tank mines, trenches, barbed wire and concrete pyramids known as "dragon's teeth" to prevent the advance of armoured vehicles. The project is reportedly being implemented "with great speed", amid concerns that after Ukraine, Putin could move his troops into the Baltic states.
The first bunkers will be ready in early 2025.
The Estonian Foreign Intelligence Service reports that Russia intends to double the garrison on the border. Prior to the invasion of Ukraine, it consisted of 19,000 troops. Intelligence also reports that Russia plans to create a new army corps based in Petrozavodsk. Finland may become its target.
Earlier it became known that Poland is actively building fortifications on the border with Russia and Belarus. The Polish Ministry of Defence said that the details of the construction of engineering fortifications are classified and are part of the defence ministry's plan.
Background. As reported, analysts believe that increased supplies of Western weapons will change the situation on the battlefield in Ukraine's favour.
