Russia has added US Senator Lindsey Graham to the list of terrorists and extremists
He was prosecuted for words taken out of context

US Senator Lindsey Graham of the Republican Party has been added to the list of terrorists and extremists by the Russian Financial Monitoring Agency. The relevant information was published on the agency's website today.
By law, all his accounts in Russian banks (if any) must now be frozen.
Last spring, Graham was put on the wanted list. A criminal case was opened against him under the article on terrorism.
The reason for the case was a video recording made during Graham's meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky in May 2023. In it, Graham says that "Russians are dying" and then adds: "We have never spent money so well." It later turned out that his words were taken out of context.
When the Office of the President of Ukraine released Graham's full statement, it showed that these were two different remarks made at different parts of the conversation.
Graham said that the Ukrainians who are resisting the invasion remind him of "our finest people in America. There was a time in America when we were like that, fighting to the last, we were going to be free or die."
"Now you're free," Zelensky said at the meeting. – "And so will we.
Graham replied: "And the Russians are dying."
Then Zelensky added: "Yes, but they came to our territory. We are not fighting on their territory."
Graham said: "Ukraine has adopted the American slogan 'Live Free or Die'. It was a good investment by the United States to help liberate Ukraine from Russian war criminals."
Ukrainian presidential adviser Mykhailo Podolyak later said that the best investment the United States and the West could make is "a complete and unconditional victory for Ukraine."
