Russians seize the remains of Pervomaiske village near Donetsk
The village has become one of the hottest spots in this war and has cost the enemy a great price

Sources from both sides say that Russian invaders have reached the western outskirts of Pervomaiske village near Donetsk.
"The enemy managed to break through the defences of the 59th Infantry Battalion [59th Separate Motorised Infantry Brigade] and completely occupied Pervomaiske, which actually began fighting for in August 2022. The village has become one of the hottest spots in this war and cost the enemy a great price," the Ukrainian project DeepState, which monitors the fighting at the front, wrote in a Telegram message.
Before the war, Pervomaiske was a large village stretching along the highway from Donetsk to the west-northwest, towards the Dnipro.
The western edge of the strip of ruins it has now become is about 12 km from the outskirts of Donetsk.
"The village became one of the hottest spots in this war and cost the enemy a great price. Unfortunately, a considerable price was paid and found by the defenders of the glorious 59th Separate Mechanised Brigade, who desperately held on to every basement and kept the defence, even when surrounded," the authors of the DeepState telegram channel write.
"Before the war, more than 2,000 people lived here. For the soldiers and those who followed the events from drones, the settlement will be associated with a year and a half of fighting and lost comrades," the message says.
Background. A few days ago, it was reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were tactically successful in the Kupyansk and Lyman directions, with the most intense fighting taking place in the areas of Pervomaiske and Vodyane and east of Chasovyi Yar.
