The regional GOC «Hlibodar» becomes a national player and to be transformed into HD-group

The Group of Companies «Hlibodar» comprising grain processing enterprises, bread and pastry factories, a jam and preserves plant, as well as companies providing procurement and logistics services, is being transformed into HD-group. This was reported by the press service of the Group.

HD-group positions itself as an agrifood platform, acting as a service center with a set of outsourcing functions in the B2B market – from the production of goods (within the existing production areas) to the provision of procurement and logistics services.

«We started the transformation process back in 2017. It was aimed at changing management approaches and moving from the bread production segment to the agrifood segment with a focus on B2B customers», – commented Boris Shestopalov, co-owner of the HD-group.

According to him, the changes occurred in six main areas: clustering of business areas with the development of key performance indicators; transition from hierarchical to matrix management system with the creation of a support hub that backs up all business areas; creation of an operational hub (back office); creation of an office for projects evaluation; development of an early response system and the use of operational internal communication.

«The HD-group plans to make several acquisitions in specialized and related fields, expand its coverage regions, expand its product portfolio. We are to make a significant leap in increasing the recognition of both the HD-group and our brands. The social responsibility of the Group remains unchanged, with a focus on long-term impact investing projects, which, in our opinion, are the basis of the national economic and social heritage. Moreover, we plan to focus our efforts even more on the digitalization of business processes and providing additional services for our customers and partners. First of all, it is food tech accelerator, which should operate within the framework of an open platform, both for group enterprises and HD-group partners», – summarized Boris Shestopalov.

It should be noted that the EBITDA growth of HD-group enterprises for the 10-months period of 2019 compared to the same period last year is 22.1% and EBITDA Margin Ratio the 10-months period of 2019 is 14.5%. Therefore, the revenue growth in 10 months of 2019 constitutes 9,7%.
