What happened. The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemns Russian shellings of foreign diplomatic buildings in Ukraine.

Details. The Foreign Ministry reminded, that that the building where the Greek Consulate and the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission were located, was damaged. Buildings of Slovenian, Azerbaijan and Albanian Consulates were destroyed as well.
Ukrainian diplomatists urged the international community to condemn Russia for the barbarian shellings of civilian objects in Ukraine. As a result of these shellings, people die and receive wounds, and children are among them.
Comment. “The armed attack of Russia on the premises of diplomatic missions is a gross violation of international humanitarian law, the Vienna Conventions on Diplomatic and Consular Relations”, – the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said. “The Ukrainian side will bring the facts of the destruction of the premises of foreign diplomatic institutions on the territory of Ukraine to claims against the Russian Federation in international courts in order to bring Russia to maximum responsibility for its crimes”.
