Kuleba denied information about Ukraine`s intention to develop nuclear weapons
The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry also called for the removal of the Russian army from Ukrainian nuclear power plants

What happened. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba denied information about Ukraine`s intention to develop nuclear weapons and called for the removal of the Russian army from Ukrainian nuclear power plants
Source. The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated this at a briefing.
Details. According to the Foreign Ministry, at the end of the meeting, Minister Lavrov touched upon the topic of nuclear security. He spoke in favor of holding tripartite consultations between IAEA experts, Ukrainian and Russian nuclear experts
Kuleba replied to Lavrov that before the arrival of Russian soldiers in Ukraine, everything was in order with nuclear facilities, they worked reliably.
“Ukraine has always been and is a responsible participant in all the IAEA verification mechanisms and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty,” Kuleba said.
The head of the Foreign Ministry denied the information about the spread of nuclear weapons by Ukraine. And he added that not a single international body or inspection found anything like that, since there is nothing like that in Ukraine.
Therefore, the best thing that Russia can do now is to withdraw its troops from the territory of the Chernobyl and Zaporozhye nuclear power plants in order to allow the personnel to serve them in an appropriate way, and the IAEA experts to visit them.
“Russia must demilitarize the nuclear facilities that it is now trying to control and renounce any attempt to attack nuclear facilities. As well as gas infrastructure facilities,” Kuleba summed up.
