Zelensky called on Japan to become a leader in developing new mechanisms for international security

What happened. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that Japan's leadership could become indispensable in developing new security guarantees and tools to deter aggressors.

He noted that the mechanisms of protection against aggressors operating in the world do not work, and noted that now is the time to develop new security guarantees so that it is possible to act preventively and strongly whenever a threat to peace arises:
«We need to create new tools. New guarantees that will work preventively and strongly against aggression, which will really help. Japan's leadership may prove indispensable in their development. For Ukraine, for the world. I offer it to you».
He also called for abandoning economic ties with Russia in order to help Ukraine: «We need to withdraw companies from the Russian market so that this money is not used for the Russian army. We need to help our state even more, our defenders who stop Russian troops. We need to think about the restoration of Ukraine now. About the return of life in the cities destroyed by Russia and in the territories devastated by it», Zelensky also said.
