What happened. It has become known that the fall in Ukraine's gross domestic product (GDP) due to full-scale Russian military aggression is now estimated at 35% or more.

Source. This was announced by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.

Details. "We see that now, when hostilities are taking place, plus the first shock since the beginning of the war has not passed, according to our estimates, it is a fluctuation of 35% and slightly higher," he said.
According to Shmygal, the fighting is taking place in ten regions, where enterprises account for about 50% of the country's GDP.

"Everything will depend on how the economy and business recover, it depends on the export industries, where we are now changing from maritime to rail supplies through Eastern Europe. All these things will also affect GDP, "the Prime Minister stressed.

Background. It will be recalled that due to the full-scale Russian invasion, Ukraine suffered losses of $ 564.9 billion, of which $ 112 billion was the loss of GDP in 2022.
