What happened? The Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko stated that Ukraine expects to become a full-fledged member of the European Union in two years – by the year 2024.

Details. Ukraine expects to receive the status of a candidate for EU membership this summer. The first part of the Ukrainian application has already been submitted.
“With the same rapid pace, we will fulfill all the requirements for Ukraine as a future member of the EU. This is our path to true democracy and freedom,” Svyrydenko said.
According to her, our country needs to ensure the maximum restoration of transport and social infrastructure in 24 months. Ukraine will also insist that russia pay for all the destruction.
“Violations of international law by russia are so sizable that its frozen assets should be confiscated,” said the Minister.
Previously. Earlier it was informed that Ukraine had completed and submitted to the European Commission the first part of the questionnaire on accession to the European Union.
