Russian occupiers organize torture chamber in Nova Kakhovka
More than ten civilians are contained there

What happened. Russian invaders designed a torture chamber in the temporarily occupied Nova Kakhovka in the Kherson region.
Source. Statement by Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Liudmyla Denisova.
Details. According to her, Russian soldiers detain activists, members of Anti-Terrorist Operation Zone (ATO) and Joint Forces Operation (JFO) right on the streets. They also take men who have nothing to do with military service and those who never showed at the anti-occupation protests.
Grounds for detainment are trivial: "disruption of public order" or” breaking curfew."
Witnesses reported on more than ten civilians arrested who are now in confinement at a police station in Khavovka. For some of them, it has been weeks. Men are tortured with teasers and are beaten up. The ones who were a part of the military and security services (fighters of territorial defense and ex-soldiers of ATO and JFO) endure the cruelest beatings.
As explained by Denisova, relatives of the detained men form a line leading to the police station in constant attempts to find out the prisoners' fate or hand over food and essentials to them.
Background. Let us remind you that Russian occupiers intend to 'hold referendums' in Kherson and Mykolaiv regions.
