The European Commission proposes to simplify legal migration to the European Union, especially for Ukrainians
This is a pilot project

What happened? The European Commission has submitted a package of proposals to simplify legal migration to the EU, which includes a pilot project for Ukrainians.
Source. This was reported by the press service of the European Commission.
Details. It is noted that in the summer 2022 the European Commission is going to launch a “talent pool”, which will make it easier for immigrants from Ukraine to find work in the EU. Ukrainians will be able to register on the portal, where they will indicate their qualifications. This will help employers find employees.
As for the temporary residence permit, the European Commission proposes to allow applications for it not only from the territory of the EU country where the person wants to work, but also from the country of origin.
In addition, currently third-country nationals with a temporary residence permit cannot change their employer. The European Commission believes that this restriction should be lifted. And in case of job loss, the certificate must be valid for at least another three months. These draft amendments will be further considered by the Council of the EU and the European Parliament.
Previously. The EU would redistribute 17 billion euros in funds to help refugees from Ukraine.
