Ukrainians can adopt a child through the “Diia” mobile app
The process of submitting documents for citizens who want to adopt a child is simplified
What happened? In Ukraine, the adoption service has started working through the “Diia” portal.
Source. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Social Policy Kostiantyn Koshelenko during a briefing at the Ukraine-Ukrinform Media Center.
Details. According to him, the number of children who need families already exceeds 17,000, while the number of candidates who are ready to adopt them is much smaller. Therefore, the process of submitting documents was decided to be simplified.
“One of the reasons why there are not enough candidates is the difficult adoption procedure. We are trying to deal with it by implementing a fast and digital process. Now it takes only 5 minutes to leave an application for an initial consultation,” Koshelenko said.
You can leave a request for the initial application for adoption of children either during a personal meeting or through the “Diia” app. In addition, children's services will continue to operate as before.
Denys Ivanov, a representative of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, clarified that the registration for the online adoption consultation will be available on the “Diia” app in the “Family” section. “All the information about the candidate is added automatically. Authorization is through an electronic signature. Within 15 days, the relevant service contacts the applicant and invites for a consultation. By the way, it will also be possible to visit the consultation online and offline,” Ivanov emphasized.
Meanwhile, the work on the next stages of this online service continues – in particular, by the end of August it will be possible to apply for the adoption of a child and a candidate for a foster parent online.
Background. As of May 2, at least 181,000 Ukrainian children were forcibly deported to russia and the so-called “LPR” and “DPR”.
