What happened? On June 9, the Kyiv City Council stripped Minsk of its twin city status.
Source. This was announced by Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko on his official Facebook page.
Details. According to him, “Minsk can hardly be called a twin city of Kyiv. So there was nothing to prevent us from deciding to strip Belarusian capital of this status.”
Previously. Zelensky called on the mayors of American cities to sever ties with russia's “twin cities.”
