The standard “price” for release is 50,000 hryvnias

What happened? In occupied Energodar, Zaporizhia region, and nearby villages, russians are “doing business” by kidnapping people.
Source. The mayor of Energodar Dmytro Orlov reports about it in his Telegram channel.
Details. According to him, hundreds of city residents are currently in captivity. Many of them are skilled workers of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. Some are detained for “political” reasons, some in order to get money.
Orlov claims that people are tortured with electricity, beaten, and held for weeks and sometimes months.
They are allegedly required to confess to “illegal activities”, including participation in the city's self-defense, concealment of weapons. They are also told to reveal the names of their “accomplices”.
Dmytro Orlov adds that if a person is detained for money, the ransom is demanded from the prisoners themselves or their relatives. The mayor says that over the past two weeks, the situation in occupied Energodar has only worsened: the city authorities receive two or three reports of new abductions every day.
