What happened? On July 7, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree according to which Ukrainian defenders will not pay the military tax.

Details. “President Zelensky signed draft law 7432 “On Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine regarding the specifics of taxation by military levy of monetary support of military personnel and other persons who take direct part in hostilities under martial law”, initiated by “European Solidarity” and adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on June 20,” the message says.

From paying military taxes were exempted:

  • Armed Forces of Ukraine;
  • National Guard;
  • law enforcement agencies;
  • Security Service of Ukraine;
  • Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine;
  • State Border Service;
  • State Security Department;
  • Ministry of Internal Affairs;
  • State Special Communication Service.
