Details. Oleksii Symonenko will perform the duties of the Prosecutor General.
Ivan Bakanov was removed from the duties of the Head of the Security Service of Ukraine in compliance with Article No.47 of the Disciplinary charter of the Armed Forces of Ukraine:
“Dereliction of duties, which led to human casualties or other serious consequences or caused a threat of such consequences, is the basis for removing such a serviceman from his/her official duties.”
In an evening address, Volodymyr Zelensky explained that he had dismissed Venediktova and Bakanov due to the large number of proceedings on treason and collaborationism in their departments.
