Metal production in Ukraine decreased three times this year

What happened? Metallurgical enterprises of Ukraine produced one third of last year's production volume in 9 months of 2022.

Details. According to the report, during the period from January to September this year, Ukrainian metallurgical enterprises produced 5.46 million tonnes of cast iron, which is 33.8% compared to the last year's volume for the relevant period, when production reached 16.15 million tonnes.
The volume of steel produced in January-September amounted to 5.53 million tonnes against 16.29 million tonnes in 2021.
4.73 million tonnes of rolled steel was produced in 2022, this is 32.7% of the previous year's volume – 14.49 million tonnes.
Previously. The Yenakiyeve Iron and Steel Works stopped working due to the mobilization of workers. From 200 to 500 employees of the plant were planned to be “enlisted”.
