Inflation in Ukraine in October increased by 2.5% – State Statistics Service
In annual terms, prices increased by 26.6%

What happened? In October 2022, consumer prices increased by 2.5%. Compared to October 2021, consumer prices increased by 26.6% in October 2022.

Details. In particular, prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 4.2% in October, for clothing and footwear – by 1.9%, for housing and communal services – by 0.3%, for healthcare services – by 1.2%, for education – by 0.2%.
In the consumer market in October, prices for food and soft drinks soared by 4.2%.
Eggs have risen in price the most (by 60.5%). Prices for lard, vegetables, fruit, meat and meat products, soft drinks, fish and fish products, cheese, butter, and milk increased by 11.3%-2.3%. At the same time, the price for processed cereals fell by 4.8%.
Prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco products increased by 0.9%, in particular for tobacco products – by 1.0%, alcoholic beverages – by 0.8%.
Clothing and footwear went up by 1.9%, in particular for footwear – by 2.1%, clothing – by 1.7%.
Health-care prices increased by 1.2% primarily due to the rise in prices for hospital services by 1.8% and outpatient services – by 1.6%.
Transport prices increased by 0.8% mainly due to a 1.5% rise in vehicle prices. At the same time, rail passenger transport fares decreased by 5.1%.
