Office of the President: Ukraine needs up to 200 more tanks, about 300 infantry fighting vehicles and 15 missile defence systems
Podoliak said that 50-70 multiple launch rocket systems, including American HIMARS MLRSs, are still missing
What happened? Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podoliak spoke about the needs of the Ukrainian army in military assistance from partner countries to help it restore the territorial integrity of the country by military means.

Details. “We still need 150 to 200 tanks, about 300 armoured vehicles, 100 artillery systems, 50-70 multiple rocket launcher systems, including the formidable American HIMARS, of which Ukraine already has several pieces, as well as 10 to 15 anti-aircraft defence systems to close the sky,” said Mr. Podoliak.
The advisor to the head of the Office of the President also mentioned American ATACMS missiles, which have a range of 300 kilometres, while the range of the weapons currently available to Ukraine barely exceeds 80 kilometres.
Mr. Podoliak believes that such missiles would “bring the end of the war closer” by allowing Ukraine to “destroy large russian military depots” located deep in occupied areas which are currently inaccessible.
The official stressed that Ukraine could afford no pause in its counter-offensive, despite the arrival of winter cold and snowfalls, which complicated the situation on the ground.
“Today, even a little pause just adds to the losses suffered by Ukraine,” he said.
