Head of NSDC: Iranian instructors who came to Crimea to teach russians were eliminated

Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine, has confirmed that Iranian military advisers were eliminated in Crimea. Mr. Danilov warns that any other Iranians in the occupied Ukrainian territory who support moscow's invasion will also be targeted by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Details. Mr. Danilov says that the Iranians came to train russians to pilot Shahed-136 drones provided by the government of Tehran, but does not specify how many of the instructors were eliminated.

Reports of the Israeli press in October said that 10 were killed because of Ukrainian military strikes in occupied Crimea. Mr. Danilov made it clear that any further Iranian military presence would be targeted.

“You shouldn’t be where you shouldn’t be,” Danilov said, in an interview in Kyiv. “They were on our territory. We didn’t invite them here, and if they collaborate with terrorists and participate in the destruction of our nation we must kill them.”

Earlier Ukrainian media mentioned Crimea as a place where Iranian instructors might be. At the same time, neither the Ukrainian nor the russian side officially reported any strikes on Crimea that led to the death of people in October or November.

The presence of Iranian advisers in Crimea was also reported by representatives of the U.S. administration.
