“The process of de-russification in the capital continues. And this is important. Especially during the barbaric war, by waging which russia is trying to destroy Ukraine, to freeze Ukrainians in winter. We must get rid of the symbols and names associated with the aggressor country, expel the old Soviet and russian names from the capital of Ukraine forever. Russia has no right to occupy our territory, our culture, to rewrite our history,” Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klychko emphasised.

He noted that 237 city facilities had already been renamed in the capital. In particular, Moskovska Street in the city centre was renamed to Kniaziv Ostrozkykh Street.
