Ukrenergo: electricity deficit in Ukraine has increased due to the shutdown of several power units
The reason for their shutdown is shelling of gas infrastructure in the East

What happened? The electricity deficit in the power system of Ukraine has increased.
Source. Ukrenergo company.
Details. “As of December 28, the electricity deficit in the system has increased. This is due to the shutdown of some power plant units due to the shelling of gas infrastructure in the eastern region,” the company says. However, due to the relatively warm weather, for the fourth day in a row, no consumption restrictions were applied at night, Ukrenergo adds.
Despite this, the available capacity in the system is not enough to meet all the needs of the Ukrainian consumers, so restrictions are applied in the oblasts.
