What happened? Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy of Ukrainian Parliament, MP Yaroslav Zhelezniak announced a bill to exempt the import of drones into the territory of Ukraine from VAT and customs duties.

Details. "In the coming days, my colleagues and I will initiate an exemption from VAT/duty on imported drones until the end of the war. There is no economic sense in having such restrictions now," Mr. Zhelezniak said.
In total, according to the MP, from February 24 to December 31, 2022, VAT and duty were paid for 657 drones imported to Ukraine. All the rest were imported as humanitarian aid and assistance to the military.
