What happened? Kinburn Spit in the south of Mykolaiv Oblast is not under the control of any party.

Details. According to the spokeswoman, the enemy is still present on the spit and the fight for it is underway. The weather also does not contribute to the easy completion and short duration of this operation.
"There is still combat activity on the islands and neither side has absolute control over them. This is the demarcation line, the front line where the fighting is going on," Ms. Humeniuk explained.
Previously. Mind reported that according to ISW estimates, the Ukrainian Armed Forces could cross the Dnipro River, and the russians would not be able to prevent them from doing so. Russian forces expected Ukrainian troops to capture the Kinburn Spit.
