The Head of Kyiv Obast Military Administration Oleksiy Kuleba claims that the helicopter fell between a kindergarten and a residential building. He adds that at the time of the crash there were children and staff in the kindergarten. In addition, there were victims as a result of the incident.
During the national TV marathon, Ms. Prianishnikova reported 5 victims. Moreover, law enforcement officers announced several deaths.
At the same time, MP from the European Solidarity political party Oleksiy Honcharenko claims that the children were not injured. In addition, according to him, the helicopter belonged to the State Emergency Service.

The National Police have confirmed that the helicopter that crashed belonged to the SES. As a result of the crash, the Minister of Internal Affairs Denys Monastyrsky, First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Yevhen Yenin, and State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Yuriy Lubkovych were killed.
A total of 16 people are currently known to have died, including 2 children. 9 of them were on board. Moreover, 22 victims are currently in hospital, including 10 children.
According to Mr. Kuleba, the death toll has risen to 18. Among the dead are 3 children. The number of injured has reached 29 people, including 15 children.

During the TV marathon, the Adviser to the Head of the Office of the President, Kyrylo Tymoshenko, and the spokesman for the National Police noted that the SES helicopter had been heading to the combat zone. They also emphasised that the helicopter had been flying at low altitude over the city for a long time.
The SES spokesman said that the children had been evacuated to another educational institution. So far, no reports of missing persons have been filed.
According to the updated data, 16 people died as a result of the tragedy, including 3 children. 30 people were hospitalised, including 12 children. Search operations continue, however.
The SES added that experts were dismantling the floor slabs between the 1st and 2nd floors and the roof.
