Naftogaz: Ukraine has agreed in Davos on additional gas purchases and their financing
Ukraine agreed with the EBRD on financing mechanisms, and with Norway, the United States, Germany, France, Canada, and the United Kingdom on the financing itself

What happened? Ukraine agreed at the World Economic Forum in Davos on additional purchases of natural gas, as well as on financing these purchases.

Details. "Great news from Davos – there will be enough gas! We agreed to reserve additional volumes of gas needed by Ukraine to complete this year's heating season. During the World Economic Forum, I had constructive meetings with international institutions and leading energy companies," he explained.
According to Mr. Chernyshov, these and previous agreements resulted in the following achievements:
- agreements have been reached with the EBRD on mechanisms to finance the purchase of additional volumes of gas needed by Ukraine;
- agreements have been reached with the EBRD, Norway, the United States, Germany, France, Canada and the United Kingdom on financing the purchase;
- agreements have been reached with leading oil and gas companies to reserve the necessary volumes.
Mr. Chernyshov thanked the partners "for their strong support of Ukraine" and the country's energy sector.
