NBU: Almost 24 billion UAH in aid to the army received on special accounts during the war
In January, revenues exceeded 440 million UAH

What happened? Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of russia on February 24, 2022, almost 23 billion UAH has been transferred from special accounts opened by the National Bank for defence needs, and another 845 million UAH has been transferred for humanitarian aid.

Details. As of February 1, the balance of funds on the special account opened by the National Bank to support the Defence Forces is more than 1 billion UAH. Over the past month, more than 440 million UAH was received. In total, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Ukrainians, as well as citizens of the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Poland, Switzerland, Norway, Australia, France, Canada, Bulgaria, Hong Kong, and other countries, have transferred over UAH 23.9 billion for defence needs of Ukraine.
At the beginning of the war, the NBU also opened a special account for the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine for humanitarian purposes. As of February 1, funds on the account totaled 72.5 million UAH, with 9.1 million UAH received in January. Since February 24, 2022, the Ministry of Social Policy has transferred more than 845 million UAH from this account to provide humanitarian assistance to victims of the armed aggression of the russian federation.
