Details. 321 MPs voted for the appointment of the former head of the National Police to the post of Minister of Internal Affairs.
Parties. Since October 2017, Ihor Klymenko has served as Deputy Head of the National Police of Ukraine. In 2019, he became the head of the structure.
On January 18, 2023 after the death of Interior Minister Denys Monastyrsky, he was transferred to the position of Acting Interior Minister.
Background. After the death of Minister of Internal Affairs Monastyrsky, Head of the National Police, Ihor Klymenko, was appointed Acting Interior Minister. Mr. Klymenko's position was later taken by Head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv Mr. Vyhivskyi.
