Ukraine's Offensive Guard receives 27,000 applications

What happened? More than 27,000 people have signed up for membership in the assault brigades of the Offensive Guard.

Source. Kyiv City Military Administration.

Details. Of the applications received, 15,000 have already been processed. So far, almost 1,000 soldiers have undergone military medical examinations and have been included in the next stages.

The defenders will be trained by experienced members of assault brigades who have combat experience since 2014 and form the basis of the new armed formations. For example, the Rubizh brigade will be trained by those who fought against elite russian paratroopers in Hostomel on February 24, 2022.

According to the KCMA, the time for the Offensive Guard will come when the Armed Forces successfully complete a strategic defence operation, russian troops lose their offensive potential, and the Ukrainian army launches a counteroffensive.

Previously. The Ministry of Internal Affairs has begun forming assault brigades called the Offensive Guard. The basis of these units will consist of current police officers, border guards, and national guardsmen.
