The EU has approved the tenth package of sanctions: what it includes

The European Union has approved the tenth package of sanctions against Russia. It provides for restrictions in the following areas:

1) Additional bans on the export of critical technologies and industrial goods, such as electronics, specialized vehicles, machine parts, spare parts for trucks and jet engines, as well as goods for the construction sector that could be used by the Russian armed forces, such as antennas and cranes.

2) The list of prohibited goods includes new electronic components used in Russian battlefield weapons systems, including drones, missiles, helicopters, as well as specific rare earth metals, electronic integrated circuits and thermal imagers.

3) Prohibiting the transit of dual-use goods and technologies exported from the EU through Russia to avoid circumvention.

4) Additional restrictions on imports of goods that generate significant revenues for Russia, such as bitumen and synthetic rubber.

5) Initiated the process of terminating the broadcasting licenses of RT Arabic and Sputnik Arabic.

6) The possibility for Russian citizens to hold any positions in the governing bodies of critical infrastructure facilities and EU organizations is limited.

7) three Russian banks, the names of which are not yet specified;

8) seven Iranian companies with ties to Moscow.

9) Trade restrictions are imposed on Russia, including on electronic components and construction equipment, worth 11.4 billion euros.

A total of 121 individuals and legal entities were sanctioned.
