The main investor in the round was the German Greenfield fund. Other investors include Slow Ventures, Warner Music, The Artemis Fund, and Red Dao.
The funds raised will be used to further digitalize the startup, improve the application, and develop in the NFT market and the meta-universe.
"A new paradigm is emerging around the question of what we wear in the meta-universe. We believe that DRESSX will be at the forefront of shaping this change," Greenfield commented on the news.
In July 2021, DRESSX announced that it had raised $2 million in venture capital investment in a seed round. A month later, the app for mobile phones appeared in the AppStore.
According to the publication, DRESSX co-founders Daria Shapovalova and Natalia Modenova launched their virtual outfit project in August 2020. Prior to DRESSX, its founders were involved in the traditional fashion industry – they ran their own showrooms in Paris, and before that, they developed the Mercedes-Benz Kiev Fashion Days fashion week in Ukraine.
Background. As a reminder, Awesomic, a Ukrainian startup developing a platform for connecting companies with trusted designers, has raised $800,000 in investment.
