In March, UkrGasVydobuvannya launched the second well with a flow rate of 400,000 cubic metres per day
The company aims to increase its own natural gas production by 1 bcm in 2023
In March 2023, UkrGasVydobuvannya launched two wells with a daily production rate of 300-400 thousand cubic metres.
This was announced by Oleksiy Chernyshov, Chairman of the Board of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine.
"We not only ensure the operation of our facilities, but also work on drilling new wells. In March alone, we launched two new powerful wells with a production rate of 300-400 thousand cubic metres per day. These wells have achieved significant results due to the application of modern approaches to the development of hydrocarbon fields," he said.
Background. As reported, in mid-March, UkrGasVydobuvannya announced the launch of a new appraisal and production well with a depth of 5,950 m and a production rate of 340,000 cubic metres per day.
During its design, using a 3D model of the field, experts were able to identify a promising area of the field's productive reservoir that has not yet been developed.
Earlier, the head of Naftogaz noted that the company aimed to increase its own natural gas production by 1 bcm in 2023 to 13.5 bcm, which corresponds to a daily production of 37 mcm.
UkrGasVydobuvannya, 100% owned by Naftogaz of Ukraine, produced 12.5 bcm of natural gas (commercial) in 2022, which is 3% less than in 2021.
