During the 8 months of the Istanbul Grain Initiative, signed by Ukraine, Turkey and the UN, 26.3 million tonnes of agricultural products have been delivered to consumers by sea.

This was announced by Danylo Hetmantsev, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy.

According to him, during the first month of spring, foreign customers received 500 thousand tonnes more products than in February, namely 3.8 million tonnes. This includes 2.3 million tonnes of corn and 908 thousand tonnes of wheat, he said.

"As always, we pay special attention to the needy countries that were heavily dependent on Ukrainian grain in the pre-war period – Yemen, Somalia, Kenya, Ethiopia, Bangladesh, Sudan, etc.," Mr. Hetmantsev stated.

Previously. Mind reported that Ukraine had sent 30,000 tonnes of humanitarian wheat to Yemen.
