Energoatom to recover compensation from russia for damage caused at ZNPP
The company will submit the dispute to international arbitration

Energoatom will recover from russia the damages caused by military aggression. In March 2023, the company served a notice of dispute on representatives of the russian federation due to the expropriation of Energoatom's investments, including the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhya NPP.
This was reported by the company's press service.
The written notice refers to the enormous damage caused to Energoatom by the aggressor country and demands compensation. If the dispute cannot be resolved amicably, Energoatom will submit the dispute to international arbitration.
The company was advised by Shearman & Sterling LLP, a leading international legal advisor.
Background. As a reminder, a similar notice was sent to russia in 2021 due to the loss of Energoatom's investments in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
