Ukrainian prosecutors, together with their American colleagues, are working on mechanisms to seize the foreign assets of the Wagner PMC to deprive this criminal group of the opportunity to finance further hostilities in Ukraine.

During his working visit to the United States, Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin met with U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland.
During a joint press conference, Kostin said that the priorities of cooperation between the agencies include intensifying efforts to bring the Wagner Group to justice for international crimes.
Kostin informed that Ukrainian prosecutors, together with their American counterparts, are working on mechanisms to seize foreign assets of the so-called Wagner PMC.
"It is our duty to deprive this criminal organization of resources to finance hostilities in Ukraine and further undermine peace and security in the world," Kostin said.
The Prosecutor General of Ukraine also welcomed the decision of the United States to appoint its prosecutor to the International Center for the Prosecution of Aggression Crimes (ICAC), which will start operating in the summer in The Hague on the basis of Eurojust.
"This is another clear signal of the United States' continued support. The launch of this International Center is an important prerequisite for the establishment of the Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression," he added.
Background. The day before, it was reported that the Prosecutor General's Office had begun verifying information about the murders of children by Wagner PMC militants. The pre-trial investigation is carried out by investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police of Ukraine.
