Government extends fixed electricity price for household consumers for another month
The decision was taken to protect the population from price increases under martial law

The Cabinet of Ministers has extended the fixed electricity price for household consumers for another month.
This was announced by Taras Melnychuk, government's representative in Parliament.
"For the purpose of social protection of the population against the increase in electricity prices (tariffs) for household consumers under martial law in Ukraine, the fixed price for electricity for household consumers has been extended until 31 May 2023," the statement said.
Ukraine has a fixed price for electricity for household consumers: UAH 1.44/kWh for consumption up to 250 kW and UAH 1.68/kWh for consumption over 250 kW per month.
Previously. As a reminder, in late March, the government extended the fixed electricity price for residential consumers until 30 April 2023.
