The government has already fully formed 8 brigades of the Offensive Guard.
This was announced by Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko.
The brigades will come under the command of the Defence Forces when they receive a combat mission. In addition, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has plans to form additional brigades. They will be created while the previous eight are undergoing three-week training.
The minister reminded that the task of each of these brigades was to conduct appropriate offensive assault operations together with the Defence Forces during military operations. Klymenko did not specify the total number of brigades for security reasons.
