Zelensky about the attack on the kremlin: "We are fighting on our territory, we are defending our villages and cities"

President Volodymyr Zelensky has denied that Ukraine is responsible for the attack on the kremlin by unknown drones and the alleged assassination attempt on russian dictator vladimir putin.

"We are not attacking putin or moscow," Zelensky said during a press conference in Helsinki.

The President of Ukraine noted that Ukraine does not have enough weapons to respond to such incidents.

"We are fighting on our territory, we are defending our villages and cities. We do not have enough weapons for such attacks. That is why we do not use it anywhere else," Zelensky explained. – "For us, this is a deficit, we cannot spend it.

"We did not attack putin. We leave him to the tribunal," he said.

Finnish President Sauli Niinistö received Zelensky on May 3 at a ceremony in the palace.

Earlier on May 3, the kremlin press service said that Ukraine had tried to strike putin's kremlin residence with drones at night. Ukrainian presidential spokesman Serhiy Nikiforov denied this information, saying that Kyiv's goal is to liberate the occupied territories, not moscow.

Pro-russian bloggers and officials called for strikes on Kyiv. The UN, amid reports of a drone attack on the kremlin, called on the parties to refrain from rhetoric and actions that could lead to escalation.

Background. As a reminder, the US State Department commented on the attack of unknown drones on the kremlin.
