Presidential platform UNITED24 raised $325 million for the army and the rear of Ukraine over the year
The money raised was used to buy ambulances, medical equipment for wounded soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the first demining vehicle in Ukraine, and more.
The press service of the President of Ukraine announced on the first anniversary of the United24 fundraising platform that it had raised $325 million in donations.
"We conceived of the fundraising platform as one that would unite the whole world to help Ukraine. And we have succeeded. Through UNITED24, millions of people in more than a hundred countries support our country," President Zelenskyy said in a statement on his official telegram channel.
"I have welcomed the first ambassadors of the new Education and Science direction, Paul Nurse and Ivanna Sakhno, to our team. I am grateful to the ambassadors of the Medical Aid direction Andriy Shevchenko and Liev Schreiber, ambassadors of the Reconstruction of Ukraine direction Oleksandr Usyk, Katherine Winnick and Michel Azanavicius. I am grateful to the representatives of the Imagine Dragons band Mac Reynolds and Ty Arnold," the president said.
The president's channel reports that the money raised was used to buy, among other things, 176 ambulances, hundreds of medical supplies and ammunition for Ukrainian soldiers, and Ukraine's first demining vehicle.
In addition, according to Zelenskyy's press service, Ukraine used the money to contract 3,839 drones and drone systems, to build "the world's first fleet of maritime drones," and to restore 11 bridges in Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.
