Since the beginning of 2023, businesses have received 8,000 accessible loans worth a total of UAH 28.3 billion

Since the beginning of 2023, businesses have received 8,000 accessible loans worth a total of UAH 28.3 billion

The funds were allocated under the government programme Affordable Loans 5-7-9%. Since the programme started (February 2020), 61.2 thousand loans have been issued, amounting to UAH 195.3 billion. 

This was reported by the Ministry of Economy.

Entrepreneurs took out the most in crisis loans – UAH 62 billion, and for anti-war purposes – UAH 55 billion. UAH 28.6 billion was issued for refinancing previously obtained loans, and UAH 12.4 billion for investment purposes. In addition, farmers received UAH 29.7 billion in loan funds to support their activities, and trading companies took out UAH 1.5 billion in loans to replenish working capital.

Enterprises operating in the following sectors most frequently obtain loans under the programme:

- Agriculture (54%);

- Trade and production (23%);

- Industrial processing (13%).

Lviv, Odesa, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Vinnytsia oblasts, and the city of Kyiv are the leaders in terms of amounts of concluded loan agreements. Currently, 45 banks participate in the programme, with PrivatBank (26.8 thousand), Oschadbank (9.2 thousand), and Raiffeisen Bank Aval (5.3 thousand) issuing the largest number of loans.

Background. Mind previously reported that the Ministry of Economy, through the Western NIS Enterprise Fund, had attracted $100,000 for small businesses.
