Blinken urges moscow to stop using hunger as a weapon in the war against Ukraine

The US Department of State has emphasised the need to continue the Black Sea Grain Initiative.
This was announced on the State Department's Twitter account.
"There is an urgent need to extend and expand the Black Sea Grain Initiative to ensure ships are able to access Ukraine’s ports so more food can get to global markets," the message said.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken urged moscow to stop using hunger as a weapon in its war against Ukraine. "The world shouldn’t need to remind moscow every few weeks to stop using people’s hunger as a weapon in their war against Ukraine," he said.
Earlier, a meeting began in Istanbul involving deputy defence ministers of Turkey, Ukraine, russia, and representatives of the UN regarding the operation of the 'grain corridor'.
