The AFU destroyed 25 drones and 3 cruise missiles during a night attack on Ukraine, as reported by the Command of the Joint Forces Operation of the AFU.
It is noted that on the night of 14 May 2023, occupiers attacked Ukraine from various directions with Shahed-136/131 strike drones, Kalibr missiles from ships in the Black Sea, and Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55 cruise missiles from Tu-95MS strategic aviation aircraft.
In total, during the night attack, the defenders destroyed:
- 18 Shahed-136/131 strike drones;
- 1 Lancet strike UAV;
- 2 Orlan-10 operational-tactical drones;
- 3 Kh-101, Kh-555, and Kh-55 cruise missiles.
In addition, throughout the day of 13 May and at the beginning of 14 May, the tactical aviation of the Air Forces carried out up to 50 sorties for firing on the enemy and providing air cover.
Background. Earlier, Mind reported that two russian helicopters and two fighters fell in Bryansk Oblast of the russian Federation. It is known that the Su-34 and Su-35 were returning from a combat sortie after an attack on Ukrainian territory, and the pilots died.
