The Cabinet of Ministers has reinstated the preferential import regime for a range of goods
The government decree of May 19 concerns, in particular, certain types of internal combustion engines and transformers

The Cabinet of Ministers has renewed the application of the resolution of November 29, 2022, No. 1340, regarding the exemption from taxation and payment of import duties for a range of goods.
This is reported on the Government's website.
It is noted that this reinstatement of the preferential import regime applies to businesses that have previously made partial or full prepayments by April 1, 2023, for goods that they import in accordance with the agreements mentioned in this resolution, and have the appropriate bank confirmation of such payment.
It's worth reminding that the exemption from taxation and duties previously extended to casein glues, aluminium foil, alternating current generators, internal combustion engines, glass insulating steel, systems for satellite internet access, thermometers, etc.
Background. From May 1, the period of import tax exemption for goods intended for the restoration of Ukraine's energy infrastructure ended, including the VAT and import duties, and in a specific case – even excise taxes.
