Ukrainian pilots have already begun training on F-16 fighters.
This was announced by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell.
"It's a good decision from the G7 summit, that they finally decided to prepare the ground to transfer the fighters to Ukraine that they need. So, the training of pilots has already started. That's the first thing. I hope that soon we will be able to transfer such weaponry to Ukraine," commented the European politician.
Background. The United States agreed to transfer F-16 fighters to Ukraine, "only if they are not used to strike the russian territory." At this stage, the US has provided "everything necessary" for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to begin a counter-offensive "this summer," Sullivan stated.
