From 11 June, the NBU will expand the list of benchmark domestic government bonds, which banks may include in the coverage of mandatory reserves
Banks are provided with the opportunity to include benchmark domestic government bonds with the identification number (ISIN) UA4000227490 in the coverage of mandatory reserves

According to the National Bank's estimates, such a step will contribute to further increasing activity in the Ministry of Finance's domestic government bond placement auctions, which will avoid direct financing of the budget deficit by the National Bank in 2023. This has been reported by the NBU.
The added issue of securities was first placed by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine at primary auctions on 2 May 2023.
The list of benchmark domestic government bonds is determined by the National Bank, taking into account the proposals of the Ministry of Finance. From 11 June 2023, it will include seven issues of securities, six of which were determined in January-March 2023 (UA4000227045, UA4000227094, UA4000227102, UA4000227185, UA4000227193, and UA4000227201).
