The armament will be handed over in the next package of military aid for Ukraine. As the ministry points out, these missiles will help Ukraine secure the skies amidst constant russian strikes.
The Ministry of Defence added that the supply of small arms and ammunition, which was announced in April, is currently ongoing. Machine guns, assault rifles, and cleaning kits have already arrived in Ukraine, and in the coming weeks, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive another 1 million 5.56mm-calibre bullets and 4,800 assault rifles.
Background. Earlier, Mind reported that Canada was starting a course to train junior officers of the Ukrainian army in Latvia. This programme will supplement the training of Ukrainian soldiers by Canadian instructors in the United Kingdom, Poland, and a number of other NATO countries.
