DIU: russia has started to implement a provocation with chemical weapons
The kremlin plans to hit its own soldiers with chemical weapons to present it as evidence of Ukraine's use of chemical weapons

The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine has warned that russian special services have begun to implement a provocation with chemical weapons.
"In order to disrupt the counteroffensive actions of the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine, the russian occupiers began to implement a provocation with the use of chemical weapons in the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia region on May 27, 2023," the intelligence agency said on its Telegram channel.
According to the GRU, the real victims of the enemy provocation will be soldiers of the russian occupation army. The aggressor state plans to use traces of chemical weapons on their bodies as fake evidence to accuse Ukraine.
"We emphasize that the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine use only conventional means during combat operations with russian troops, and the next staging of the Muscovite special services cannot influence the further course of events at the front," the Ukrainian intelligence emphasized.
Background. In early May, Ukraine accused russia of using phosphorus bombs in Bakhmut. White phosphorus causes severe damage to the body and is banned by the Geneva Convention.
